Food processing facilities require durable, seamless and hygienic floors to ensure that the area is easily maintained and cleaned. Seamless & non-porous floors are highly recommended for any F&B related outlets to prevent the growth of bacteria or accumulation of dirt and dust in any corners or joints. For this Bird’s Nest Processing facility in Kuantan, the floor also needs to withstand high temperatures when it undergoes hot water and steam cleaning.
02. solution:
Dritech Chemicals recommended the installation of a seamless polyurethane flooring system, known for its exceptional durability and resistance to high temperatures from steam cleaning. After preparing the substrate, Dri-Floor EP 1000 was used as a primer, followed by the application of Dri-Floor PU 2000, a high-performance medium-duty polyurethane screed that was supplied in a bright blue color to enhance the visual appeal.
